The Peppermint Place Difference
No Such Thing as "Too Challenging"
While other services may struggle with complex behaviours or high support needs, we see every challenge as an opportunity to provide better support. Our team has experience with all presentations and believes that acceptance as you are isn't a goal—it's our starting point.
Because every individual deserves support that meets them where they're at, not where others think they should be.
Structured But Flexible
We maintain quality programming while offering the flexibility that other services can't. Think of our programs as a strong foundation that we build upon based on your child's individual goals, interests, and what brings them joy.
Because rigid schedules and forced participation shouldn't be the price of professional support.
Communication Expertise
With Ana's background in special education and personal experience supporting a non-verbal child, we understand that communication comes in many forms. We meet each person's communication style with understanding, patience, and expertise.
Because being heard and understood is a basic human right.
Home-Like Environment
Forget sterile facilities and clinical settings. Our converted house provides a warm, welcoming space where your child can truly relax and be themselves inside. And outside, we have a large variety of activities and equipment to entertain and meet sensory input needs.
Because feeling at home shouldn't be a luxury—it should be the foundation of great support.
Our Programs
Every program at Peppermint Place starts with a simple question: "What does this individual need to flourish?" From there, we build experiences that honour their interests, support their goals, and celebrate their unique way of being in the world.

AFTERNOON SKILLS PROGRAM
This isn't an "after-school care program"—it's a growth experience where children with disabilities build essential life skills through activities they genuinely enjoy. Think science experiments that develop problem-solving, cooking activities that build independence, and creative projects that strengthen social connections and communication skills.

HOLIDAY INTENSIVE SKILLS PROGRAMS
When other programs offer basic childcare, we offer rich learning experiences. Each holiday period brings themed adventures where education meets excitement. Recent highlights include rainbow science experiments, cultural celebrations, and outdoor exploration—all designed by our team.

ADULT DAY SKILLS PROGRAM
This program includes, but isn't limited to, focusing on skills and work development, health and wellness, daily living skills, creative income generation and community participation. We enjoy creating flexible day programs for our young adults that include their special interests and fun social activities.
Our Vision
Every person with a disability deserves a place that meets them where they're at, sees their potential without limits, and makes "everything is possible" more than just words.
Our Mission
Providing programs and a community where acceptance isn't promised—it's lived. Where challenges just bring more collaboration. And where families don't just access support, they become family.
Our Committment
Whether we're the right fit or not, we're committed to helping you find support that works. Every child deserves to be understood and celebrated.
We believe in honest, judgment-free communication. If challenges arise, we'll talk through them and find solutions together—that's what partners do. You'll know what happened each day, not for blame, but for collaboration. And while everyone's safety matters, our instinct is always to problem-solve, not reject.
Just genuine conversation about what's best for your family.
Our Team
This is our core team. We have additional casual support workers.
